Salaam and welcome! This site will serve as the central hub for all content related to Family Qur’an Circle.

Over the next few months, our goal is to cover chapters within Juz ‘Amma. We plan to meet at least twice a month, with each session dedicated to one chapter. Similar to our previous sessions, we will begin each meeting with a quiz game focused on the vocabulary and themes of the Surah being studied. This will be followed by recitation practice with review of relevant tajweed rules, and finally a family-oriented approach to understanding the chapter led by Saiyid.

To help families prepare, we aim to provide relevant content ahead of each session. This will include resources to help familiarize ourselves with vocabulary and themes of the Surah. We encourage families to work on memorizing each chapter covered and to develop a ‘working understanding’ of as many words in the chapter as possible. Using flashcard apps and dinner table discussions to quiz each other are a few ways we can remain engaged with content between sessions.

We are also considering the creation of a progress chart for children along with tokens for winning teams during our quiz games. These tokens can be redeemed for prizes after a set period, adding an element of excitement and motivation. More details will be shared soon!

We ask Allah (swt) to instill a deep love for the Qur’an in our hearts and make these sessions a means of discovering its secrets and lessons. May this initiative bring our families closer to the divine message and to one another.
